This weekend was my friend’s anniversary, and they hosted a big outdoor party. It was in the countryside, quite far from the city. I decided to ride my motorcycle there because the fare for the bus seemed high, and I didn’t want to deal with the subway during rush hour. Plus, it was thrilling to ride through the open roads.

Everyone was asked to bring something for the potluck. I made a fruit salad because it’s easy and usually a hit. The party was terrific! We played games, had a dance contest, and laughed a lot. It was exhausting, but in the best way.

In the evening, we planned to continue the celebration at a restaurant downtown. However, a traffic jam meant we couldn’t get there. Instead, we ate at a small vegetarian place nearby. I was starving and a bit unsure at first since I’m not vegetarian, but the food was delicious! It was a nice change.
