Teamwork brings a lot of benefits
Teamwork is a powerful way to achieve goals. When people collaborate, they work together to get things done more effectively. Each team member can contribute their own skills and ideas, which makes the team stronger.
In a team, members support each other. If someone faces a challenge, others are there to help. This partnership ensures that everyone can perform at their best. Good teamwork involves strong leadership to guide everyone and keep the team on track.
Working as a team also means sharing success. When the team succeeds, everyone feels proud of what they have achieved together. This can make each team member more motivated and happy.
Overall, teamwork is very beneficial. It helps us to solve problems faster, learn from each other, and reach our goals together. It shows that when we join forces, we can do great things.

Preparation (3 minutes)
Student has 2-3 mins to think about their ideas.
Suggesting points:
- Support: improve communication, enhance collaboration, build trust, improve team spirit and motivation.
- Against: not relevant to real job skills, temporary effect, cost money and time, discomfort for participants.
Debate (8 minutes)
Student has 2-4 mins to present their ideas.
Teacher helps student to expand their ideas, think critically & more views about this topic (by asking more questions about this topic).
Sample answer
In my opinion, team building is beneficial because it improves communication and enhances collaboration among team members. Activities encourage open dialogue and understanding, helping people work together towards common goals. They also build trust, as shared experiences create stronger bonds. Additionally, team-building exercises boost morale, improving team spirit and motivation, making the workplace more enjoyable.
On the other hand, team building can seem irrelevant to real job skills, offering only temporary effects. The positive changes might not last, as employees often revert to old habits. Moreover, these activities can be costly and time-consuming without clear benefits. Some participants may also feel uncomfortable, especially if they are introverted and prefer not to engage in forced social situations.
